Host Blood Drives

Everyone wants to be a lifesaver; that’s why we’ve partnered with Anne Arundel Medical Center to host blood drives for the past few years. We invite team members and the community to donate blood.

The Lights of Kindness

Lights of Kindness is Christmas tree decorating contest that raises money for local non-profit organizations and the Rotary Club Foundation of South Anne Arundel County.

Annapolis Run for the Lighthouse

The Lighthouse helps the community by providing food, clothing, and shelter to those who need it most. We have participated in the 5K Annapolis Run for the Lighthouse since 2019. During the holiday season, we also coordinate a gift drive to help ensure the holiday season is  magical for everyone!

Smokin on the Creek

Smokin’ on the Creek is a local BBQ competition where all proceeds support local charities, including Project Deale, Senior Dog Sanctuary, and others.

The Annapolis St Patrick's Day Parade

Participating in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Annapolis is always a ton of fun! We love handing out candy, fly swatters, and other goodies to the community. Our float helps support local charities like Warrior Events.

Arlington National Cemetery

Renewal and Remembrance is an annual event organized by the National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP) in collaboration with its members. This event involves volunteers from the landscape and lawn care industry who come together to donate their time, expertise, and resources to beautify and maintain the hallowed grounds of Arlington National Cemetery. 

Center of Applied Technology North

The mission of CAT North is to motivate, instruct, and equip young men and women for a lifetime of learning and future professional success through a hands-on technical education. We support their mission & collaborate with the AACPS and the Future Farmers of America to help our community be successful.

Southern High School

Investing in high school students shapes our future leaders, fostering education, innovation, and community growth for a better society. Our efforts are coordinated with Future Farmers of America, CAT North and SkillsUSA to educate and spark interest for future agricultural professionals. Go Bulldogs!

The Future Farmers of America Program

The Future Farmers of America organization aims to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education. Blades of Green is proud to support this program.

SkillsUSA

SkillsUSA is a student-driven organization, and its members include high school and college students who are enrolled in career and technical education programs. We’ve hosted several students for their Summer Internship Program, giving them both office and field training experience.

Anne Arundel County Food Bank

Anne Arundel County Food Bank was founded to distribute food to those in need throughout Anne Arundel County back in 1986. In support of their noble cause, our team members and community have donated 100’s of lbs of canned and non perishable groceries.

Supporting Local Businesses

Our Culture & Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Committees host a variety of events throughout the year. For Juneteenth we celebrated with a scrumptious breakfast catered by Character Entertainment, a black owned business. For Veterans Day, B-More Mojo, a black-veteran owned business, provided a variety of food truck deliciousness!

National Night Out

National Night Out is a yearly community-building initiative aimed at fostering police-community partnerships and promoting neighborhood camaraderie. Its goal is to create safer and more caring neighborhoods, enhancing the relationship between residents and law enforcement while reviving a genuine sense of community.

Annapolis Green

Annapolis Green unites environmental influencers, individuals, families, local businesses, government agencies, and nonprofits with the shared goal of building a healthy, thriving community and planet. Instead of concentrating on a singular issue, they address a range of challenges affecting our communities. Through programs that connect, inform, inspire, and encourage meaningful change, they motivate people to advocate for nature.

Celebrating with the Community

Spreading cheer at local holiday events is a favorite amongst all of our team members! We love meeting new people, making memories, and bringing smiles to everyone we meet.
